Red Bus was the idea of two Brits sitting in a bar early in 2007, one from London and one from Manchester and it quickly became a reality. It is now jointly owned by three Brits and two Cypriots were we began with just one bus. They have now added a further five for 2010 season.This season they have  a open top bus devoted for private hire such as weddings which has become popular for moving guests from Hotel to the Church or Reception.Soon they will offer trips in the Larnaka region from a local tour arround the villages to visiting Lefkara (Lace Village) and not forgeting Famagusta.The original open top double deck bus company offering tours around this beautiful Island.

The open top bus tours offer guided tours to tourists and locals around the Famagusta area, coastal Ayia Napa, the uninhabited Achna village, Achna Dam, Famagusta town, and even a stroll along the Green Line.The bus makes stops at local farms, where tourists can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, which has been helping local farmers as well.

The double deck buses can seat up to 75 people, with 43 seats on the upper deck.Bringing the open-top double deckers in Cyprus was not an easy enterprise. The Red Bus Company initially had to overcome a law that forbids the use of open-top buses in Cyprus. Double deck buses are also expensive, costing approximately €34,000 each.

Ticket prices are €15 for adults, €10 for children and €45 for a family ticket.
